Context
Overview
Vidflow is an all-in-one web app that makes it easy to record screens and webcams, edit clips, and auto-generate accurate subtitles. This project focused on building a clear brand identity and a clean, accessible UX that helps users produce high-quality video content faster, without needing advanced editing skills.
The Goals
Vidflow aims to:
Simplify the video production process by combining recording, editing, and subtitling in one platform.
Reduce time spent on manual subtitling with AI-powered auto-captions.
Make video editing accessible to non-technical users with an intuitive UI.
Enable quick export and sharing for smoother collaboration and faster publishing.
Problem
The Challenge
Before Vidflow, video creators and teams struggled with several key challenges:
( 01 )
They had to juggle multiple tools for recording, editing, and subtitling — which slowed down their workflow.
( 02 )
Manual subtitle creation was time-consuming and often produced errors, hurting video quality.
( 03 )
Most video editing software felt too complicated for casual users or small teams with tight deadlines.
( 04 )
Collaborating on edits and sharing feedback was messy, requiring extra steps and extra tools.
Output
The Solutions
To solve these challenges, we focused on simplifying the video creation flow and making it accessible for all user levels. Key solutions we implemented:
( 01 )
We created an all-in-one workspace combining screen & webcam recording, basic editing, and subtitle generation — so users don’t need to switch apps.
( 02 )
We integrated an AI-powered transcription tool to auto-generate captions instantly, with easy manual corrections and style options.
( 03 )
We stripped away advanced pro-level clutter and focused on clean, essential tools: trim, cut, text overlays — enough for quick edits without a learning curve.
( 04 )
We designed a simple export and share feature, so users can get feedback or publish videos faster, directly from the app.
Outcome
The Result
The new Vidflow design successfully streamlined the video production workflow and improved the overall user experience:
( 01 )
Reduced production time
Users now complete recording, editing, and subtitling in one flow — cutting average turnaround time by up to 50%.
( 02 )
Better user adoption
A simpler, cleaner UI helped new users get started faster without needing extra tutorials.
( 03 )
More accessible content
Auto-generated subtitles increased the reach and inclusivity of user videos, supporting broader audiences.
( 04 )
Ready for scale
The modular design and clear structure make it easier to add new features like multi-language subtitles and team collaboration tools in future updates.
